About Me...
My name is Joseph Finsterwald. I was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved to Boston in 1991 after having worked for several years in Italy. I have a degree in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Masters in Software Engineering (MSE) from Brandeis University.
I’ve been fortunate to have had a number of interesting professional experiences in my brief life. I’ve worked as an intelligence gatherer, as a teacher, an accountant, and a programmer. Since I’ve lived in Boston I’ve been working as a software engineer with a focus on Microsoft client server based technologies. So far I’ve enjoyed working in software development. The problems are interesting, the work requires thoughtfulness and planning, and you can distinguish yourself by hard work and craftsmanship.
The project of creating a site about one’s self is a little narcissistic, but there is really no better way to communicate who I am quickly absent a meeting in person. Hopefully the material I’ve assembled is adequate to the task of giving you a sense of my professional qualifications and a general sense of the type of person I am.
